Accessibility statement
Jersey Pulse is a free what's-on guide for Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney and Sark. We want everyone to be able to find something to do, whatever their access needs.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. You should be able to:
- use the whole site with a keyboard, including a "Skip to content" link and clear focus outlines
- use a screen reader – page changes, search results and filters are announced
- zoom to 400% and use a narrow screen without scrolling sideways
- turn off animation with your device's "reduce motion" setting
- browse event listings without JavaScript
- tell which filter is selected without relying on colour alone
We last tested the site on 27 October 2026, using automated checks (axe-core), keyboard-only use, a 320 px screen and manual colour-contrast checks.
Known limitations
- The "Pulse" logo text is decorative branding and does not meet colour contrast; the site name is also given in text.
- Some event titles include Jèrriais. We mark the ones we know about so screen readers can switch language, but we may miss new ones.
- Event details come from organisers and public listings, so we can't guarantee every description is clear or complete.
Access at events and venues
We list events; we don't run the venues. Access details vary by venue, and we don't hold checked information about step-free access, accessible toilets, hearing loops, BSL interpretation or quiet sessions. Please contact the organiser before you go, or email [email protected] and we'll try to find out for you.
Feedback and contact
If something on this site doesn't work for you, or you need information in a different format, email [email protected]. Tell us the page and what went wrong, and we'll reply as soon as we can, usually within 5 working days.
